Boycotting Proctor and Gamble and Every Other Corporate Sponsor That Is Riding the Gosselin Children Gravy Train

Anyone who feels that the “Twins Play Mommy for a Day” episode of Jon and Kate Plus Eight that recently aired is just A-OK, you are either:
1) Not a parent.
2) Are in need of parenting classes, pronto.
Nothing about that show was ok.
Nothing about the series is ok.
As I am fond of saying: Parenting is a privilege not a right.
Anyone that feels it is ok to publicly humiliate your child/ren, refer to 1 and 2 above. If number 1 defines you, for the sake of your future child/ren, get parenting classes BEFORE you have them.
There is not one child psychologist or parenting expert that would find what these children are subjected to ok. If anyone feels other wise, I ask you to be so kind as to please post abstracts/journal articles that support your position, because I would LOVE to see them.
The only thing that that talks to large corporations is money. This is evident in the choice that the sponsors of Jon and Kate Plus Eight and TLC have made. Clearly, no one involved in this travesty gives a flying F about these children. It is the money that they make over the selling of their childhoods that is the bottom line.
The true bottom line is that there are 8 young children whose childhoods have been sold for I don’t know what…………..or why.
These children are being turned into gross and unfair caricatures of themselves, all with the blessing of two incredibly misguided “parents”. An 8 year old girl is made out to be a villain all too often, with her own parents labeling her “mean and ugly” (and worse) almost on a weekly basis. They freely allow her emotional meltdowns to be filmed and aired on international TV, YouTube, DVD and Ipods, ad nauseum……..
FOREVER.
For those that support this series and Jon and Kate Gosselin, enlighten me please. Is THAT what you would want for your child? To be denigrated weekly on TV? To send your child off to school on Tuesday morning to be the subject of her peers’ ridicule after being ridiculed and humiliated for the world the night before?
If so, refer to number 2 above.
For the rest that truly care for these children, I urge you to write the sponsors of this show to relate your appall and disgust. Let them know that you will no longer be buying their product; you will no longer aid in the support of the exploitation of 8 small children whose lives, childhoods and souls are being sold for no reason other than the unadulterated greed of their parents. For those of you, like myself, that have been writing, please continue.
Hit them where they will finally find some “morals and ethics” - their ledger sheets.

I find that her self promotion of both herself and her “family” is amazingly either at best naive or at worst criminal? I am boycotting all P&G products as of right now.

Take a look at the pics of Kon — doesn’t it look like someone took a sledgehammer and slammed it on the top of his head. You could probably set a drink on top of his head without it falling off. Just another way Kate can humiliate him.
The article says “Kate doesn’t google herself.” Yeah, RIGHT. There isn’t a person who has access to the internet who hasn’t looked up their own name to see what is out there about him/her. I guarantee you that statement is even more true for famous people who want to pad their ego. I’m sure she reads any major articles or pieces on her, and I’d bet she at least read many of the negative comments about her left after the articles on the webpages. Give me a break.

Um, Kate is a spokesperson for P&G, I do not feel that there is any question that they are sponsors of child exploitation. If the commercials on the show were not a dead give away, the spokesperson position is. At least to any thinking person, that is.
Ohhhhhhh, another jealousy claim. Pray tell, please tell me why I am jealous of two parents who whore their children for their livelihood. That is something to be jealous over, no doubt, lol.
And while you are at it please, could you elaborate on the no life, loveless marriage, biter (sic) bittie thing? I am trying to follow your logic, but since there is none that I can ascertain, perhaps through your eloquence use of the English language you can enlighten me.

No sane loving parent (and most of us are) would be jealous of a couple of lazy, neglectful parents who CHOSE to whore their kids out and live off their labour, instead of getting jobs themselves and raise them with love, affection, attention, privacy……Need I go on? A child cannot walk into a business like say McDonalds and get a job until the age of 15 here in Canada, not sure about the states, so why is it ok for parents to FORCE their kids to take a job, work crazy hours, be segregated from family, and others kids their age, miss more school than they attend…so their lazy parents don’t have to support them? Since when is it acceptable for small children to WORK to SUPPORT their parents? Wow I am SOOOO jealous, sign me up for whoring out and exploiting my little girl so I can be just like Jon and Kate (I just threw up in my mouth)
I have said this before and I will say it again, those who pop up somewhere spouting off about others hate of themselves and “loveless marriages” are PROJECTING their own feelings about themselves and their lives onto others, its not nice behaviour, go play in your own sandbox…Merry Xmas and Bye-Bye now!
